Strange Exotic Perfume Why am I posting this? It just seemed like it would be fun to talk about two of the most mysterious perfumes of all time (and they both do smell wonderful): Thierry Mugler's Angel and Clinique's Aromatics Elixir. Angel (Thierry Mugler): Angel is sweet and enchanting as a result of being full of fruits - strawberry, blackberry, peach, melon, plum, and orange. But the perfume is also full of rot, decay, and death. This morbid heart of the perfume is strengthened by dark patchouli and animalistic musk. There's also an angular coldness to Angel that gives it a deathly quality. Angel has an aura of drowning and a drowned-corpse aspect. But it is also cosmic and sublime, with a radiant beauty. That's the paradox of Angel - it's monstrous yet celestial. Aromatics Elixir (Clinique): The first element of this perfume is a lightning bolt of vinegar. It's bright, sour, and electric.
